Why Organic?

The entire line of Lindsay’s Teas is certified organic by Quality Assurance International (QAI). We choose organic tea, herbs, and spices because we believe organic everything makes the best teas. We like the fact that certified organic herbs have been grown according to strict standards established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the National Organic Program(NOP).

Where Do You Source From?

When re-launching her tea collection in 2015, Lindsay was unwavering on one principle: Lindsay’s Teas would be an “organic only” tea brand, no exceptions. Toward that end, we’ve built a wonderful relationship with a third-generation family of tea growers in India to source our teas—the same family, in fact, that pioneered the organic tea agricultural movement in the late 1930s. Our teas are grown in eight organic, biodynamic and Fair Trade tea gardens in Darjeeling, India (often dubbed the “champagne” district of tea), as well as three tea gardens in the Assam and Nilgiri regions in India.

Something to Sip About

The garden for our Yun Wu tea is located on the remote Pu-tuo island, located off the Northeast tip of Zhejiang province (near Shanghai), outside of Zhoshan City. Commissioned to a group of Buddhist Monks by the Chinese government to be run a tea plantation in support of their traditional green tea manufacturing practices, they use no electricity; all cultivation (weeding/fertilizing) and harvesting is done completely by hand.

The finest leaves are cultivated from the world’s best tea gardens and the result is a full-bodied tea-drinking experience that leaves you savoring every sip.
